Wondering out loud

Can Americans learn to live with...and love...fewer possessions? Can the planet support all of its 6,000,000,000 inhabitants living like we do in the US? When does the idea that I deserve a reward for my hard work become entitlement mentality? Do not people in developing nations work at least as hard as most Americans? Where is their 5,000 square foot house and matching Labradoodles? Where's their health care and benefits package? Just wondering out loud whilst sitting in a parking lot of a strip center having just stuffed myself with chicken vindaloo.
